After placing your order you will receive a confirmation of your purchase by e-mail. You will also receive an e-mail with which you can track the delivery of your order.
- Payment method
Depending on the payment method you have chosen, you will be redirected from our secured environment to the secure payment site of our Payment Service Provider: Mollie B.V. Account numbers, credit card details and personal information that you enter on that websire are not disclosed to us. We only recieve feedback whether your payment has been successful or not.
- IP address
In a physical store, customers are recognized by their appearance. This is done online via the IP address. Based on your IP address we can show you appropriate content and offer you a pleasant shopping experience.
- Company name, legal form, Chamber of Commerce and VAT number (for business customers)
In addition to the above information, we also need your company name, legal form, Chamber of Commerce and VAT number for business orders. We use this information for the preparation of the invoice and, in some occasions, to verify your registration as a company in the Trade Register.
We sell part of our articles through external sales platforms. When you place an order through these sales platforms, the platform concerned will share your order and personal data with us. We only use this information to the extent that this is necessary in the context of the handling and execution of the order. External sales platforms may have their own privacy policies and conditions. We encourage you to read them before using these platforms.
1.2 Creating a personal account
You are offered the possibility of creating a personal online account. Creating an account is not mandatory, it is only meant for your convenience. In your account we store data from previous orders, returns, e-mail preferences and personal details. By logging in to your account, you can view this information and, with the exception of previous orders, adjust it if necessary. You can also easily place a new order without having to enter your details again every time you visit the website.
In addition to the 1.1. mentioned data, we store the following data in your account:
- Historic orders
This allows you to see what you have ordered from us in the past.
- Order number
With the order number we can find your order. You may need this number when you contact us.
- E-mail preferences
We send newsletters by e-mail. Your preference for whether or not to receive our newsletter can be changed in your account. You can always unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter itself.
You log in to your account with your e-mail address and a self-chosen password. This password is stored encrypted. We can not see what your password is.
1.3 Customer service
Our customer service will gladly help you with questions about your order. You can also contact us for information and advice about the products we sell. When a product is temporarily out of stock, you can indicate through our customer service that you want to be notified when the product is available again. We will inform you without obligation. We will resolve any complaints or problems as soon as possible for you. You can reach our customer service by e-mail, by telephone or by letter. To avoid having to tell your story more than once, we take notes and we can ask you for your order number, name, e-mail address, telephone number and other data that make it easier to handle your question or complaint.
1.4 Sending newsletters

We prefer to trust everyone, but unfortunately that is not always possible. Sometimes we have to use customer data to investigate, prevent and counter fraud.
2. What are the legal bases for the use of your data?
When you purchase a product from us, you enter into an agreement with us. We then need your data to execute your online order according to contract. In addition, we can use your data from a legitimate interest. We are pleased to offer our customers the best possible personal service. This applies to creating a personal account, contacting our customer service, sending newsletters and review requests and collecting data for analysis and marketing purposes. 3. Who has access to your data?

We will never sell your details to third parties.
4. Where are your details stored?
Our websites and backups are hosted at Spango Internet B.V. Data that you leave on the website is securely stored on the Spango servers. When you contact us via the contact form on the website or via e-mail, these e-mails are also stored on the Spango servers. The Spango datacenter is located in Amsterdam and is classified as a Tier-3 data center. This stands for the highest possible classification in the area of safety and reliability. Newsletters are sent via the Mailchimp. Mailchimp is located outside the European Union. When you sign up for the newsletter, your e-mail address is stored securely in the appropriate list within Mailchimp. Mailchimp complies with the applicable rules on the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.
Second to the above, we also store your information in our company's accounting software (Sage-Eurowin). Your data is manually copied from the website to Eurowin. Our server is also protected from unauthorized access by firewall and from physical access by unauthorized persons. We make backups on a daily basis. We do not store Bank account details or Credit card details. Only names, addresses and historic order information. In the unlikely event you purchase an item by an 'Cardholder not present' transaction, your details are never recorded on digital or other media. As you call out your details, they are entered into the Point of Sale unit provided by our bank.
5. How long will your data be stored?
We do not store and use your data for longer than is strictly necessary. After that, your data will be deleted or we use your data anonymously for internal analysis or reports.
- We must keep ordering, payment and billing information for 7 years from the tax authorities. After that, we only use anonymized data for internal reports.
- We keep customer accounts as long as you have an active account with us. We remove inactive client accounts without registration for our newsletter after 7 years. After that period, we only use your data anonymously for internal reports.
- We will keep your registration for our newsletter as long as you are registered. You can always unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of the newsletter, via your account or by contacting our customer service.
- Within Google Analystics, data retention for users and events is set at 14 months. After that period, the collected data is automatically removed from Google Analytics.
- We keep data that we use to prevent fraud as long as necessary.
6. How do we protect your personal data?
We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data and we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification of personal data. Think of encryption of data, password locking, access control to our locations and limitation of the group of employees who have access to the data. If you have the impression that your data is not secure or that there are indications of misuse of your data, please contact us.
7. Customers younger than 16 years old.
Our websites are intended for adults and do not intend to collect information about website visitors who are younger than 16 years without the consent of parents or guardians. However, we can not check whether a visitor is older than 16 years. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data from young people under the age of 16 from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about web visitors under the age of 16 without that permission, please contact us. We will then delete this information.
